Before awarding a job to a carer you can do as many reference checks as you’re comfortable with.

Many parents use the ratings and reviews from other Juggle Street parents as a guide to help them choose suitable carers.

If a carer doesn’t have any ratings or reviews, you can ask for the name and number of a parent they have recently worked for, so that you can do a reference check.

If your job is for nannying or before and after school, it’s a good idea for you and your children to meet the carer first. You can show them where their school is and provide relevant contact details, such as their teacher’s name and any emergency numbers.

You can ask for their ID (proof of address) and any other details to make yourself feel comfortable.
